A holiday is typically an off-work duty, where members of the organization are not required to work. However, there are instances when a company requires its workforce to render work during a holiday.
Below is how you can set a Holiday Type on your Working event to make sure you are paid the additional wage.
Appy Holiday Type in Single Event
Firstly, you have to have a Working schedule. If none yet is scheduled for you, please ask your KAMI administrator or manager. Otherwise, you may request a new event. Follow this article for your guide.
On the Event Details, you will see a <Holiday Type> dropdown wherein you may select whichever applies to you.
For example, in the Philippines, if an employee work during his Rest Day, the employee is entitled to an additional 30% of his wage. To apply this in ZipHR, the employee has to request for an activity with the Holiday Type of "Rest Day".
Apply Holiday Type in Bulk
If you are an Admin or Manager, you may apply Holiday type in bulk in case of a certain situation where events need to be modified e.g. changing the activity details of employees. Follow our Bulk Edit Event article for your guide.
