Payroll user rights refer to the permissions and access levels granted to users within the system, allowing them to perform various payroll-related functions.

ROLES

KAMI comes with some default roles to help you get started, but you're free to customize them to suit your organization's specific needs.

  • Administrator - Full access to all payroll features and can manage to assign user permissions.
  • HR Admin - Can update employee data, prepare and approve salaries, bonuses, and allowances.
  • Finance Admin - Manage salary payments and deductions also submit financial reports related to payroll.
  • Manager -  Limited access to view team members' work hours, overtime, bonuses and salaries.
  • Employee - View their own pay slips and submit leave requests, overtime, or other requests affecting payroll.


An option to add additional roles is also available here. Click the ADD ROLE function to add or may you also duplicate an existing role by clicking the CLONE function.





RIGHTS

Each right within a role in KAMI can be configured with one of the following permissions 

  • View - Allows the user to see data but not make any changes 
  • Edit - Grants the user the ability to both view and modify data
  • Deny - Prevents the user from seeing or altering data


This granular control ensures that users have the appropriate level of access based on their responsibilities.





TEAM PAYSLIP

This setting determines whether a user has the permission to view other people's payslips. 



Based on the role and permissions assigned:

  • View - The user can see the payslips of others
  • Edit - The user can see and potentially modify the payslips of others
  • Deny - The user cannot see or access the payslips of others


This control is important for maintaining privacy and ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to sensitive information like payslips.




PAYROLL BATCHES

To enable access to the payroll batch features for payroll processors and approvers, you'll need to ensure that they have the necessary permissions within your payroll system.



  • Payroll Administrator - has the ability to manage user rights
  • Payroll User Rights - where you can manage the permissions for different roles
  • Settings Payroll - After configuring the necessary permissions, make sure to save the changes.
  • Payroll Processor (Edit & Calculate) - Essential for processing payroll batches




PAYROLL REPORTS

To enable access to various payroll reports for specific users or roles within your payroll system 



  • General Report - Access to general payroll reports are assigned the necessary permissions
  • Contributions Reports - Grant access to view or generate reports related to employee contributions
  • Tax Filing - Provide access to tax-related reports who can view or generate payroll tax filings as needed
  • Create/View Payroll Reports - Assign permissions to users who need to create and view various payroll reports
  • Approve/Decline Payroll Reports - Responsible for approving or declining payroll reports


Create/view Payroll Reports must be activated to access View Reports page.
