Add New Shift
Add a name and description to quickly describe the shift, complete activity type, and branch in which the shift will occur.
Name should be something that employees can immediately know important details like the time. For example: "0900-1800"
Cost center, group, and holiday type is optional if it is needed.
Access
Determine which specific group of employees can only use a certain shift.
This is useful if you have several shifts and more shifts don't apply to other groups.
Scheduled Times & Options
Fill up start/end and break times for the shift.
- Core start first/last - Is time window in which the employee may time-in to work.
- Absence/Half day threshold - Define the start-hours limit until the system marks the employee as absent or half-day.
For example:
- Your shift starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 18:00 p.m. The break starts at 12:00 p.m. and ends at 13:00 p.m.
- If you want the employees to be marked as absent by 14:00 p.m. You need to set the absence threshold at a 5-hour limit until the system marks the employee as absent.
- Same with the half-day; if you want the employees to be marked as half-day by 13:00 p.m., the half-day threshold will be a 4-hour limit until the system marks the employee as half-day.
- Overtime Window - Is useful for additional working time where employee will be paid for OT rate.
Shift template will appear like this after you successfully creating it!
